The Rocker Who Hates Me The Rocker Series Book 10 edition by Terri Anne Browning Lorelei Logsdon Shauna Kruse Literature Fiction eBooks
This is the 10th installment in the Rocker series and I am proud to say I have read every one, including the spin offs with Lucy and Harris. Terri Anne Browning is on my short list of one click authors and will continue to be.The Rocker Who Hates Me is the story of Liam Bryant and Gabriella Moreitti, who have had many appearances in the series. I think this is where some of my issues with this book stem from. In previous books - Liam was scrawny, doped up, strung out... you name it, he was pitiful. Gabriella or "Brie" was a hateful, hurtful, spiteful, wanna be homewrecking bitch. I have hated Gabriella from the first book and was very torn as to whether or not I wanted her to have her HEA. I am Team Emmie all the way. Now, several years later, Liam is cleaned up, beefed up and an all around different guy (or is he?). We are shown the softer Brie who has been hurt and tries at all costs to protect herself.
The story follows her and Liam as they progress through several years of struggles, both internal and external trying to work toward being together. Without dropping spoilers, we finally get to understand more of the circumstances of why Brie and Emmie hate each other, the relationship between Brie and Axton and get a broader view of Liam's accident and Mia's kidnapping.
My issues with this read: Too many characters. Even though I have read the previous 9 books, some of them multiple times, there are so many characters intermingling that it gets confusing. I have to stop reading and put them together in my brain... who belongs to what band, which couples are together now, whose child the author is referring to. Sometimes its overwhelming the amount of people to keep up with.
My wish list for this read: Stop with the two years earlier, seven years later, 19 months earlier... ugh, it was hard to keep up. Mix that with the 25+ characters and it was often too much to process. Also, the neverending hospital stay and the I LOVE YOU, I HATE YOU, DONT EVER LEAVE ME, LEAVE AND NEVER RETURN.. push and pull got redundant. My opinion only but the book could have left out a lot of these details and kept my attention better.
All in all, the editing was good, I was glad to catch up with a lot of the characters and to finally get some explanation/closure to a few of the issues that were left unanswered in the previous books. Its obvious that there are going to be more installments and I plan to read those. Im a die-hard Terri Anne Browning fan so for that reason I give this book 4**** wicked good stars. Had it not been her writing, honestly, it would have been a 3 star read. -asw @wickedgoodblog

The Rocker Who Hates Me The Rocker Series Book 10 edition by Terri Anne Browning Lorelei Logsdon Shauna Kruse Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I honestly can't get enough of this well-written series. As I've stated before (probably ad nauseam at this point), with each new book, I fall in love with yet another rocker. And this time it's Liam Bryant of OtherWorld.
His long-time passion for Gabriella (his Brie) always had me scratching my head. How could Liam love the woman who has time and time again tried (unsuccessfully) to ruin so many of the Demon's Wings and OtherWorld's lives was beyond me. But Terri Anne Browning brilliantly turned me around and I, right along with Liam, kinda fell for her too.
We get the entire backstory to so many scenes played out in previous Rocker books and finally get the truth Gabriella is actually a wonderful person. A shocker yes, but the real deal nonetheless. She loves as hard as she fights and in the end, all she really wants is to have the man who has ruled her heart for years, in her life. To watch Liam stay by her bedside after the jumbled kidnapping of Mia Armstrong, which put 2 bullets in Brie's chest made me swoon. Hearing his confessions of love and begging forgiveness for all the times he pushed her away or made her doubt him was simply beautiful to read.
The book picks up right where the last one ended and getting Brie's side of things was something I didn't even know I wanted. All this time, the woman was judged so harshly by the entire Rocker crew and I honestly didn't want to like her. In every book prior, Brie was nothing more than a home-wrecking, vindictive bitch who didn't deserve the time of day. She seemingly bailed on Liam when he needed her most and I would have been happy to see her just fade away. And now I'm happy to say that I love her character. I love the way she adores Liam and I just want them to have that HEA like all the couples before them.
The entire Rocker gang is present and accounted for. Something I always look forward to when reading these books. Emmie is still the core of this group and her heart-to-heart with Brie was a highlight for me.
I strongly suggest you read the entire series. They are all standalones but are interconnected as each Rocker story is told.
A great read that I highly recommend.
A huge 5 stars!!
